Fans think Ohio State shuts down TTUN this season

Last week, we presented Ohio State fans with a list of bold predictions for this year’s football team and invited them to choose the option they believed was most likely to come true. The choices spanned securing individual awards, setting program records, achieving lofty statistical totals, and establishing season-long trends and more. Now that the poll is closed, one option clearly rose to the top among Buckeye Nation: the notion that OSU could limit That Team Up North to 17 points or fewer in this year’s The Game in November. While bold, it’s not unimaginable given the recent track record and the strength of Ohio State’s defense. It’s also consistent with the team’s historical dominance in this rivalry, which has seen Ohio State average 31.5 points per game in the series this century. In other words, many fans are forecasting another big win in the regular-season finale, a scenario that resonates with longtime supporters.
