The Aaron Donald comeback talk isn’t going to die down any time soon. For one, it doesn’t seem like the all-time defensive great wants it to. We’d be seeing more active damage control if he did. For the other, seemingly everyone connected to the Los Angeles Rams’ situation with Donald appears to think a return is only gaining more and more steam by the day.Take the reports that Donald was seen working out at the Rams’ official headquarters over the weekend.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementApparently, this isn’t new. During recent years, Donald has occasionally worked out at the Rams’ facility during retirement just to see how his body still feels. But according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, there might be more heft to Donald’s most recent appearance at the Rams’ facility. In an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Shefter intimated that Donald will ultimately choose to come back to the Rams because he will find the idea of playing with Myles Garrett on a Super Bowl contender “awfully enticing.”I mean … I get it!It’s important to note that this suggestion is, as Schefter says, a guess. It is not necessarily rooted in any sort of inside information pointing to an imminent Donald return (we probably won’t see that happen until late August, if we do). But if a scoop reporter like Schefter is willing to say something this out loud, maybe the idea of Donald wreaking havoc for the Rams’ defensive front again isn’t so far-fetched.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementDonald retired in March 2024, following the 2023 NFL season. He is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, 10-time Pro Bowler, and eight-time First-Team All-Pro. He won Super Bowl 56 with the Rams in February 2022.This article originally appeared on For The Win: Adam Schefter believes Aaron Donald will find it hard to resist a Rams comeback
