Rushville’s Garrett Abrams won Friday evening’s 25-lap All Star TQ feature on the Decatur County Fairgrounds dirt track during the annual Decatur County Fair. The fast Rush County TQ driver found the local dirt track to his liking as he was quick in practice and stormed his No. 24 to the pole position for 25-feature.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementAt the drop of the green flag, Abrams quickly took advantage of his pole position as he took a lead that he would never relinquish. However, Abrams’ second win of the 2026 All Star TQ season was far from easy as he was hounded the entire race by the No. 10 of Logan Rabourn.Rabourn was never more than a few car-lengths off Abrams and pulled beside Abrams several times as the two raced hard into the second turn. Abrams pulled away coming off turn four and stretch his lead to a couple car lengths down the front stretch. As the two leaders battled closely, Joey Paxson’s No.1 closed in on the intense duel for the lead. Paxson’s strong charge brought him to the rear of Rabourn with just two laps remaining. Abrams pulled away from the intense second-place battle between Rabourn and the charging Paxson, raking in the checkered flag by four car lengths to earn his second victory of 2026 and collect a well-deserved trophy and his $500 first-place check.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementAn elated Abrams commented on his victory, “I’m glad to have my wife here for this win. We had a good car tonight, but I was tight exiting turn two, and I saw him (Rabourn) right on me several times, but I was good through three and four and could pull ahead down the main straightaway.”Rabourn held off Paxson for second. The most notable charge of the evening was the run of Chelby Hinton. The Louisiana native had mechanical issues and was forced to start the 25-lap feature in last place.Much to the delight of the good Decatur County Fair crowd on hand, Hinton (who is running some USAC events in 2026) made an incredible charge through the pack to claim a fourth-place finish about a straightaway behind the leaders. The All Star TQ series next travels to the Tony Stewart Speedway for a July 18 event on the Columbus dirt track.
