​Rivals updated its recruiting rankings ahead of the 2026 season, and the Oklahoma Sooners received a big boost. Oklahoma, led by head coach Brent Venables and general manager Jim Nagy, has put together one of the best classes in the country.One of the biggest storylines for Oklahoma has been its ability to dominate in-state recruiting during one of the deepest talent cycles in recent memory. The answer is three. Oklahoma has commitments from Rivals five-star offensive tackle Cooper Hackett, five-star tight end Seneca Driver and five-star cornerback Gabriel Osborne.The Sooners could effectively have a fourth five-star talent, depending on the recruiting service. Offensive tackle Kaeden Penny is ranked No. 27 nationally as a four-star by Rivals but holds five-star status on 247Sports rankings. Linebacker Cooper Witten and athlete Bode Sparrow are also just outside the five-star cut line. Witten ranks No. 37 in the country, and Sparrow ranks No. 59.Oklahoma’s class is already among the nation’s best, and the updated Rivals rankings reinforce just how much elite talent Venables and Nagy have assembled.
