Apparently, the Carolina Panthers added a top-10 linebacker when they signed Devin Lloyd.Lloyd is the latest member of the reigning NFC South champions to be highlighted in ESPN’s 2026 positional rankings. The 27-year-old defender comes in at No. 10 on the list of the league’s best off-ball linebackers—as voted on by executives, coaches and scouts.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementSenior NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler included the following quote about Lloyd from an NFC exec:”Physical run player, love his length in zone to get his hands on the football. Not as effective in man. Can blitz and rush and is versatile.”That versatility was on display in 2025, where Lloyd amassed career-highs in pressures (28) and interceptions (five). His efforts, in addition to helping the Jacksonville Jaguars to an AFC South crown, earned him the first Pro Bowl selection of his four-year career.Carolina went on to ink Lloyd to a three-year, $42 million pact out of free agency.Lloyd is now the third Panthers player to find a top-10 rank in the series—joining defensive tackle Derrick Brown and cornerback Jaycee Horn, who settled in at No. 5 and No. 8, respectively, for their positions.Follow @ThePanthersWire on Twitter/X for more Panthers content. This article originally appeared on Panthers Wire: Panthers’ big FA addition voted as top-10 LB by NFL execs, coaches
