The Brazilian was secured in a £50 million ($66.9 million) transaction and penned a five-year deal, with the option of an additional year.United are poised to complete a third midfield signing before the transfer window closes. An agreement was reached to bring in Ederson from Atalanta in June; however, United have since opted to withdraw from the transfer.Club insiders initially denied the deal had collapsed last week, but United’s hierarchy have now resolved not to proceed with the move at the proposed price and structure after receiving an indication of an injury concern during a medical.United had intended to completely revamp their midfield this summer following Casemiro’s departure upon the expiration of his contract.
