Okay, that’s asking a bit much. As it turns out though, former Duke star Kyrie Irving’s sister had twins, and they’re getting close to college-age now.
They’re in the class of 2029, and Keethon and Daceton Demarce are both point guards. And when you look at this video, you can see their uncle’s influence. They’re both outstanding ball handlers, both quick, and both very promising.
Irving has two sisters. Asia is better known, and lives in New Jersey. The twins are both out of North Dakota, and while we can’t say for sure, we think that their mother is probably Kyrie’s half-sister, London.
We’re not sure why the family is in White Shield, North Dakota, population 363, but we suspect it is due to the Irvings being part of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe (Elizabeth Irving, Kyrie’s mother, was part Native American).
And as it turns out, White Shield is on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation, so that explains that.
Their talents will soon take them away from there. If they don’t go to a prep school at some point, they will move on to college, and then to the NBA.
Given that they’re both point guards, it’s entirely possible that they will choose different schools, but as we have seen at Duke at times, having two point guards can work very well, and for two twin brothers who know each other’s games intimately, it could be a huge benefit to any school that they choose to attend.
