​SIOUX CITY, IA (KCAU) – The postseason for high school softball continues this week, with several squads vying for a spot in the state tournament; however, for classes 1A and 2A,, those state brackets are set!In round one of the 1A bracket, Siouxland has two squads. In the 2:15 matchup its #4 West Monona facing #5 Southeast Warren. The winner of that game will play the winner of Exira-Ehk-Audubon and Edgewood Colesburg.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThen the final game of the day features the 6th-seeded Remsen St. Mary’s and the 3rd-seeded Fort Dodge St. Edmond. The winner here plays either Clarksville or North Butler.In 2A, you find 5th-seed Hinton facing the 4th-seeded Iowa City Regina, with the winner taking on Cardinal or Grand View Christian.Then right after is #7 Ridge View taking on #2 Durant, and the winner of that one will play either Wapsie Valley or Logan-Magnolia.It is double elimination, so if squads fall in round one, they still have a chance!Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
