Ryan Clark says Broncos are still underrated after Jaylen Waddle trade

It’s no surprise the Denver Broncos are being overlooked going into the 2026 season. After 11 one-score wins in 2025, many could just say it was luck the Broncos captured the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Ridiculous that they kept a roster basically the same year-over-year, a feat which is nearly impossible in the salary cap era of modern football.Former NFL star Ryan Clark isn’t overlooking them, however. Clark was recently asked to choose between the Buffalo Bills and the Denver for the No. 3 spot on Mina Kimes’ best teams list. “The Denver Broncos,” Clark said on The Mina Kimes Show. “The Jaylen Waddle piece is huge. They don’t have any piece like him last year. A true separator. A guy that creates easy throws but also puts you in a position of power from a catch-and-run standpoint.”AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe acquisition of Waddle from the Miami Dolphins has been a media flash point as a true role player for quarterback Bo Nix. Kimes suggested that the Waddle trade itself could’ve been overlooked because it was so early in the offseason. “I think he has top-ten capability,” said Kimes. You can view the entire conversation below.Waddle’s arrival will hopefully level up the Denver offense going into the 2026 campaign.Waddle will report with the rest of the veterans to Broncos training camp on July 28, while rookies report for camp on July 22. Waddle and Co. will look to prove to the entire NFL landscape that 2025 was not a fluke. It was for real.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementSocial: Follow Broncos Wire on Facebook and Twitter/X! Did you know: These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans. This article originally appeared on Broncos Wire: Ryan Clark says Broncos are still underrated after Jaylen Waddle trade
