​We’re hitting the turning point in the offseason, trudging as we are through the worst sports week of the year, as exemplified by the existence and broadcast of the ESPYs. The ACC’s football media days begin in Charlotte this morning, which will at least give us a few things to talk about.Dave Doeren and NC State’s player reps—CJ Bailey, Duke Scott, Isaiah Shirley—will have their turn at the podium at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon. The ACC Network will have coverage all day but that press conference is also available online.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementNo doubt CJ Bailey will be a center of attention as one of the league’s best quarterbacks in what is, overall, a down year for the ACC at the QB spot. Bailey is a top-three QB, I reckon, with Darian Mensah and Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele in that group. And that fact, along with a favorable league schedule, makes for another year of intriguing potential for Dave Doeren. We’ll hear all about it today.
