New PFF stat shows how hard Kenneth Walker III will be to replace

The Seattle Seahawks lost some key contributors to free agency after winning Super Bowl 60. Arguably, none was more notable than running back Kenneth Walker III. After all, Walker was named MVP of the Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots.Pro Football Focus recently released some data that explored the connection between quarterbacks and their favorite targets. Tying EPA (Expected Points Added) into the numbers proved that Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold and wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba had quite the connection (duh). Well, the running back data shows that Darnola and Walker had chemistry, too.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementPFF also ranked the top 10 QB-RB connections in the passing game using efficiency and EPA. The Darnold-Walker pairing ranked 8th in the league last season. Walker caught 40 of 45 targets for 386 yards, equaling an EPA of 0.35 per play. The Seahawks will move forward without Walker and hopefully find an in-house replacement Darnold can trust. John Schneider selected Jadarian Price at No. 32 overall in the NFL draft. Price has untapped potential as a pass catcher and may develop into a three-down back.Veteran George Holani is also trusted in pass protection and can be the passing-down back if needed. Zach Charbonnet and Emanuel Wilson are also present at the position. The Seahawks must replace Walker’s passing-game efficiency. This article originally appeared on Seahawks Wire: New PFF stat shows how hard Kenneth Walker III will be to replace
