Blackhawks 2026-27 Regular-Season Opener, First Home Game Announced

   ​On Wednesday morning, the NHL unveiled the 2026-27 regular-season home openers, including dates and times, for all 32 clubs. For the ninth consecutive season, the Chicago Blackhawks will start their campaign on the road away from the United Center.The Blackhawks kick off the season as part of ESPN’s Opening Night tripleheader on Tuesday, Sept. 29, facing off with the reigning Western Conference champion Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena. Chicago and Vegas conclude the network’s tripleheader with a 9:30 p.m. CT scheduled puck drop.After playing in Vegas, the Blackhawks will finish off a season-opening three-game road trip against the Utah Mammoth and Buffalo Sabres. The Mammoth host the Blackhawks at the Delta Center on Thursday, Oct. 1. Then, the Hawks will oddly travel from the West Coast to the East Coast and take on the Sabres at KeyBank Center on Saturday, Oct. 3.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementFinally, the Blackhawks return home to Chicago and host the division-rival St. Louis Blues in their first game of the season at the United Center on Tuesday.
