Team USA holds Solheim Cup practice session. Here’s who’s on the bubble

   ​With no tournament to play this week, Solheim Cup captains took advantage of the opportunity to bring in some of their players for an early look at Bernardus Golf. For U.S. captain Angela Stanford, it was a whirlwind 48-hour trip to the Netherlands.Rose Zhang, Lucy Li, Lilia Vu, Allisen Corpuz, Jennifer Kupcho, Auston Kim, Lindy Duncan and Lauren Coughlin were among those in attendance.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementWhile the European team will be finalized in three weeks after the AIG Women’s British Open, Stanford pushed her cutoff date to after the CPKC Women’s Open, held Aug. 20-23. That leaves four events left on the LPGA calendar for American players to make their case.World No. 1 Nelly Korda, who was not at Bernardus, is the only player to have clinched a spot. The top seven players on the Solheim Cup points list earn automatic spots along with the top two players in the Rolex Rankings not otherwise qualified. Stanford gets three captain’s picks.The current top eight on the points list includes: Korda, Angel Yin, Jennifer Kupcho, Auston Kim, Allisen Corpuz, Yealimi Noh and Lauren Coughlin.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe next two players in the Rolex Rankings are Andrea Lee and (No. 34) and Lindy Duncan (No. 56), who are also Nos. 8 and 9 in the points standings. If the team was finalized today, they’d be on it.The next two Americans in the Rolex Rankings are Jenny Bae (No. 58) and Alison Lee (No. 62).Lee, who was on the team in 2024, made a goal of playing her way back onto the Solheim Cup team after giving birth to son Levi last April. She returned home to Las Vegas in between the Evian and Scottish Open to see her son. One of the hottest American players on tour, Lee has three top-5 finishes in her last seven starts.Hype player Megan Khang missed the cut at the Amundi Evian and dropped to No. 71 in the Rolex Rankings.
