Georgia transfer WR representing Mississippi State at SEC media days

   ​Georgia Bulldogs transfer wide receiver Anthony Evans is entering his second season with the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Evans has made himself a key cog in the Bulldogs’ offense and is one of Mississippi State’s most well-respected players on their team. Evan will represent Mississippi State along with quarterback Kamario Taylor and cornerback Kelley Jones at SEC media days.Evans and Mississippi State will speak to the media on Thursday, July 23, which is the last day of the media event that will be hosted in Tampa, Florida.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementMississippi State is coming off an up-and-down 2025 season where they went 5-8. Mississippi State started the season 4-0 with a big nonconference win over Arizona State. However, the Bulldogs went just 1-7 in SEC play. Mississippi State suffered three one-score losses in SEC action, but Georgia dominated the Evans in a 41-21 victory on Nov. 8. The Bulldogs also lost in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl to Wake Forest.Evans was a bright spot for Mississippi State in 2025. The explosive receiver recorded 67 catches for 831 yards and four touchdowns.
