​As the 2026 version of LeBron James’ decision rolls on, there are similarities and differences to the future Hall-of-Famer’s free agency when compared to previous years. Some members of the media appear deadset on James returning home to the Cleveland Cavaliers for what will likely be his final NBA season. However, others view either the Miami Heat or Golden State Warriors as the likely landing spots. And in one other unique piece of this round of free agency for James, there is also a dark horse or two in the Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves.While the Cavaliers have remained atop the likely landing spots in terms of the odds, it’s been the Warriors who have surged in the past week or so. First, it was Draymond Green discussing his pitch to James. However, one exception to that is the Warriors, as both Curry and Green have a close relationship with LeBron.
