The Jalen Hurts disrespect continues to reach new heights for the Philadelphia Eagles, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to slow down anytime soon. Hurts has shown a lot of promise at points throughout his career, but last season didn’t exactly go as planned for him or the Eagles.I don’t think all of that was Hurts’ fault, however, as the Eagles were one of the more average teams in the NFL.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementBut this is Philadelphia, and if guys don’t produce at a high level day in and day out, there are going to be constant questions about whether they’re the guy. That’s something Hurts ultimately has to answer over the next few months, and I expect him to.When Hurts has been questioned in the past, he typically finds a way to quiet all of the doubters and win games at a very high level. If there’s one thing nobody can criticize him for, it’s that he’s won a lot in his career. That’s part of why I don’t know if I can disagree with recent comments from a former NFL player now in the media.”Of all the ways in which Jalen Hurts has been disrespected, ranking him 17th (the last of seven honorary mentions to go with the Top 10) on the NFL quarterback list is probably the most disrespectful,” Emmanuel Acho said on the Speakeasy podcast. “It is utterly shameful to have Hurts ranked behind quarterbacks that don’t even have playoff wins, Justin Herbert.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement”It is utterly shameful to have Hurts ranked next to quarterbacks like Daniel Jones and Bo Nix. I mean, Jalen Hurts is still a Super Bowl MVP. He is still an All-Pro. He is still a quarterback that every time he plays, leads this team to the playoffs.”I don’t think it’s really unfair to have him behind guys like Justin Herbert, but I do think it’s a bit ridiculous to say somebody like Bo Nix and Daniel Jones are better than Hurts. Let’s be honest now, even other teams wouldn’t agree with that. Perhaps we can make an argument for Nix, but I wouldn’t.The Jones situation is insane, however, so Acho is right in that regard.
