The Atlanta Falcons have put a ton of work into improving and keeping their offensive core around this offseason. However, it looks like they still have more work to do when being compared against other teams in the league.Earlier this week, CBS Sports released its ‘Triplets rankings,’ and the Falcons received no love whatsoever. The ranking compared all teams’ best trios when discussing the quarterback, running back, and best pass-catcher combo. Atlanta found themselves coming in on the list at number 16.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisement”Atlanta moves up four spots despite replacing Michael Penix Jr. with Tagovailoa. Robinson’s explosive season, in which he ran for 1,478 yards and caught 79 passes for another 820 yards, while being named a First Team All-Pro, is likely carrying the day here,” Said Jared Dubin of CBS Sports. “London is a stud, too, and he’s probably getting credit for his talent after an injury-riddled season a year ago. That makes sense, but there is plenty of skepticism for Tagovailoa under center and out of the cocoon of Mike McDaniel’s offense.”Last season, the Falcons were listed as high as 12th on the list and as low as 21st, so coming in right in the middle of those numbers seems maybe respectable since the most important position on the field is still an unknown.Bijan Robinson is easily carrying this ranking for the Falcons at the moment. After having a career year in 2025, rushing for 1,478 yards, 820 receiving, and being responsible for 11 touchdowns, the 4th-year pro is just a contract extension away from being unleashed yet again. My only concern is that he takes a step back and protects himself early in the season if Matt Ryan and the rest of the Falcons front office can’t reach an agreement before Week 1 kicks off.Drake London also deserves more credit other than a ‘middle of the pack’ wide receiver. After receiving his contract extension this past season, the only thing that is left for him is to show it on the field for a full and healthy season. London missed 5 games last year due to injury and still only found himself 81 yards shy of his second consecutive 1000 yard season.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementOnce the quarterback situation gets figured out this offseason and the Falcons begin the season, don’t be surprised if this squad cracks the top ten as one of the league’s best offensive cores.
