Florida State baseball players have gone on to have great careers in the big leagues, and Parker Messick of the Cleveland Guardians had a standout performance against the National League in the MLB All-Star Game today.Messick went on to have a perfect inning in his debut as an All-Star, getting here on the back of a stellar rookie season. He has posted a 2.73 ERA and an 8-5 record on the mound. Messick helped the AL secure the shutout win, just the tenth all-time.At FSU, Messick played for the Seminoles from 2020 to 2022, earning ACC Pitcher & Freshman of the Year honors in his first true season in Tallahassee. By year two, he was First Team All-ACC and a First Team All-American.
