Hassell totaled 48 games in center, 12 in right and eight in left field.The 24-year-old spent the 2026 season with Triple-A Rochester and batted .215/.304/.289 with 11 doubles, two home runs, 21 RBIs and eight stolen bases in 63 games. Across parts of six minor-league seasons, Hassell, a former top 100 prospect, owns a .262/.350/.384 batting line with 107 doubles, nine triples, 48 home runs, 285 RBIs and 112 steals in 567 games.Hassell, who was outrighted by the Nationals on Sunday, will not go on the Pirates 40-man roster.
