PSV set to sell two defenders: One to Türkiye and one to France

PSV are preparing to offload two defenders in the coming weeks, according to internal reports. Armando Obispo, a two-decade veteran of the club, is expected to move on to Ligue 1, with Lens currently in talks to secure his services. Adamo Nagalo is also likely to depart, with his next destination seemingly pointing toward newly promoted Turkish side Corum FK.
Obispo is in the final year of his PSV contract, and the two clubs have reached an agreement for a transfer fee in the region of €5.5 million. Lens had initially approached for him with a €4 million bid, but PSV’s valuation has nudged the deal higher. Obispo’s loyalty to PSV spans most of his professional career, aside from a loan spell at Vitesse during the 2019/2020 season. He ends his PSV chapter after accumulating 130 first-team appearances and scoring seven goals. Notably, Obispo was part of the Curacao squad at the 2026 World Cup, where he played the full 90 minutes in each of Curacao’s three matches in their inaugural World Cup appearance.
Nagalo, who represents Burkina Faso internationally, is set to return to Turkey after spending the latter part of the previous season on loan at Konyaspor. The 23-year-old midfielder/defender developed at Danish club Nordsjaelland, where he featured in 114 games between 2021 and 2024. He joined PSV in the summer of 2024, but his tenure with the first team has been brief, with just 12 appearances to his name.
The impending departures underscore PSV’s ongoing reshuffle of their defensive options as they shape their squad for the upcoming campaign. With Obispo poised to leave in a final-year arrangement and Nagalo returning to Turkey, the Dutch club will likely pursue additional defensive reinforcements or adjust their tactical plans to cope with the changes at the back. This pair’s exits also reflect PSV’s broader strategy of rotating players and balancing senior experience with emerging talent within the squad.
