​Franchises are built from the NFL Draft. Every year, NFL teams hope to find multiple starters who will help their organization turn the corner and become a perennial favorite in their conference. Fans will have their own opinions of their team and how they draft, but do you ever stop and think of their track record over the course of their franchise’s history?Well, Mike Renner of CBS Sports had the fun exercise of going back through this decade at least and ranking every first-round pick since 2020, all 191 of them. Here is where all eight first-round picks fell according to Renner:3 Justin Jefferson (WR) No. 22 overall, 202013 Christian Darrisaw (OT) No. 23 overall, 202189 Jordan Addison (WR) No. 23 overall, 2023103 Donovan Jackson (G) No. 24 overall, 2025127 Dallas Turner (EDGE) No. 17 overall, 2024165 Jeff Gladney (CB) No. 31 overall, 2020176 J.J. McCarthy (QB) No. 10 overall, 2024179 Lewis Cine (S) No. 32 overall, 2022Good news for Vikings fans! Minnesota has two of the top 20 picks made in the first round since 2020. However, having three near the bottom of the list, with one who is supposed to be the franchise quarterback, isn’t ideal.
