Fellow MLB insider Mark Feinsand adds that infielder Ty Southisene is included in this big deal before the MLB Trade Deadline passes. Outfielder Brett Bateman rose as one more talent heading to the American League champs.Toronto gains a pair of top 25 prospects in exchange for Gausman. He lands on a Cubs team that owns a 63-49 record but trails the National League Central leader Milwaukee Brewers by 6.5 games. Chicago has won its last six of ten games and are among four NL teams that have surpassed the 60-win mark.This move proves the Cubs are aiming to deliver an aggressive push into the postseason. Hence why Chicago surfaced in the mix for Skubal before the World Series champion Dodgers intervened. The Cubs, however, wind up pulling off the next available move ahead of Monday’s deadline.
