USC men’s basketball signs Belgian center Onykea Joe Agu

   ​It has been a busy offseason for USC men’s basketball. In addition to bringing back several of their top players from last season, the Trojans have added some key pieces both in the transfer portal and through high school recruiting.However, it appears as though they are not done yet. On Monday, USC announced the signing of Belgian center Onyka Joe Agu.Agu has spent the past five years playing professional basketball in Europe. He will be eligible to play immediately for the Trojans.“We are very excited to welcome Onyeka to the Trojan family,” head coach Eric Musselman said in a statement. “Onyeka fits our culture of energy, effort and enthusiasm. He is a player who will bring physicality, athleticism and competitiveness to our program. Onyeka will be a great addition to our frontcourt, providing experience, rim-finishing, rebounding and defensive impact.”Agu is USC’s 11th addition of the offseason. He will be the third international player on the roster, joining Eric Reibe, who is from Germany, and Joshua Hughes, a native of Australia.The Trojans will open up their 2026-2027 season in early November.
