One night after pounding out 16 hits in an 11-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston followed with 13 more hits in a 9-4 win Tuesday night at Fenway Park.The Red Sox have scored 20 runs on 29 hits through the first two games of the series. That lead disappeared in the third inning when Gabriel Moreno launched a grand slam off Ranger Suárez. Moreno’s 428-foot blast briefly put Arizona ahead 4-3 and threatened to change the direction of the game.Boston’s response revealed plenty about the lineup’s confidence. Rutschman tied the game with a solo home run in the bottom half of the inning. It was his first homer since the Red Sox acquired him from the Baltimore Orioles before the trade deadline.Durbin later scored on a wild pitch, putting Boston back in front for good.The sequence was encouraging for a Red Sox team that has not always responded well after momentum shifts.
