Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign Brazilian winger Savinho in a landmark deal worth up to €99 million, according to Globo.The transfer, valued at an initial €93.3m with a further €5.7m in potential add-ons, will be the largest outgoing player sale in Manchester City’s history, surpassing the €75 million received for Julian Alvarez’s move to Atletico Madrid.Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi has been instrumental in pursuing the 22-year-old since arriving in North London. He views Savinho’s explosive dribbling, flair, and pressing ability as crucial to overhauling Tottenham’s wide attack after a summer of heavy investment.Negotiations between the Premier League clubs accelerated after Savinho expressed a desire to leave the Etihad in search of regular first-team football. The Brazilian international was left out of Manchester City’s squad for the recent Community Shield, signalling his impending departure.Savinho joined Manchester City in 2024 from Troyes after a standout loan campaign at Girona, where he registered 11 goals and 10 assists to help the club secure a historic Champions League berth. Despite his promise, he struggled to secure consistent minutes at City and sought a new challenge.With a deal now in its final stages, the Brazilian forward is set to travel to London for a medical and finalise his move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.The signing represents a major statement of intent from Tottenham’s hierarchy, underlining their commitment to De Zerbi’s tactical vision with a seventh summer signing, which will take their expenditure this summer to over €350mSavinho may not be the only City player heading to North London, as talks for Omar Marmoush are also ongoing.
