This 33-year-old has not been included in any of Wrexham’s matchday squads this season since returning from his loan at Charlton Athletic.Interest from Swansea followed upon a major injury blow to Cameron Burgess, which left Vitor Matos with a shortage of central defenders.Ben Cabango and Stephen Welsh, signed in the summer, have taken part in Swansea’s first Championship matches, but since Burgess is unavailable, the club now need to look for more experience and depth before the September 1 deadline. Coady’s record makes him a reasonable choice.The player had only moved from Leicester City to Wrexham in August 2025, accepting a two-year contract as part of a deal reportedly worth about £2 million.Conor Coady moved to Charlton Athletic on loan in January 2026.
