Mason will be working with many of the same offensive weapons with running backs Angelo Graves and Ben Sanders returning along with receiver Chase Purser. “The key for our success will come from the offensive line play,” Carpenter said. “If the line can keep Brayden clean and open up a few holes for Angelo, we could see a very explosive offense.”Defense: The secondary is experienced with starters Ben Motylinski, Ben Sanders and Anthony York returning. Levi Evans will lead the linebackers and Avery Lane should be a standout on the line. “Some new and inexperience around the defense is a little nerve racking,” Carpenter said. “We will need to be very creative with stopping the run. If we can force teams to throw the ball, we have the skill to defend.”LEAGUE OUTLOOK“The LCAA runs through the top three teams with Hudson, Clinton, and Ida. All three teams are so well coached and run the ball so effectively.”COACH’S FINAL WORD“We expect to compete each and every week and have fun doing so.
