While many teams have lost starters and key contributors before the end of the preseason, the Rams have largely avoided any serious injuries to anybody who was expected to make the 53-man roster.As you can see in this list of 53 players who have had season-ending injuries posted by Dr. Jesse Morse on X, some teams have lost multiple players to knee injuries and other ailments. The Saints have lost five! Nor would he because Thomas hasn’t even played in an NFL game since 2024 and he was not expected to make the roster.Neither was CB Zech McPhearson, who was also placed on IR and is out for the season.It’s not clear if either of these players could be waived with an injury settlement and then they sign with another team down the line. Would any team be actively seeking out either player? Probably not.Undrafted outside linebacker Eddie Walls III is also on IR for the Rams, while Daniel Rickert was waived on Tuesday when he had been on IR previously.For the time being, the Rams are simply not practicing with Garrett and Nacua, plus rookie tackle Keagen Trost has also been out and is not expected back this week. It should be considered a long shot that Trost would be active for Week 1.However, the Rams seem to have basically everyone healthy enough for Week 1 who they will need. That’s not a luxury that every team has right now.
