How bad was it?The Washington Commanders had their much-anticipated scrimmage against the Ravens on Wednesday. Those who watched the scrimmage from a Washington perspective left very emphatic that the Ravens’ defense outplayed the Commanders’ offense. How about we look at what some Commanders players themselves had to say about the disappointing scrimmage:“There’s no excuses, everybody is tired at this point… how we started, that’s how you win five games. We have to be way better.” Commanders safety Jeremy Reaves.“Obviously, those are NFL guys as well. Coach Q said there is no team in the NFL that is going to let you roll over them. So the focus is being able to come out and start fast right away. But of course, there are always going to be ups and downs.” Commanders corner Mike Sainristil.“It is about how you respond through those adverse moments. You have to make the decision of how you are going to go about your business before it starts, while it is happening, and once it is done as well.” Commanders corner Mike Sainristil.“Do my job; that is how I help. A lot of stuff to learn from for sure always. It was good to get against another defense, see new looks. Especially from high-level guys that they have. A lot of confidence from this practice.” Commanders rookie WR Antonio Williams.“I think there needs to be more from us (OLine) as a group.
