​TYLER, Texas (KETK) — The Brook Hill Guard opened up their season at home with a game against the Brownsboro Bears, landing their first win of the season.FINAL SCORE: Brook Hill 45 – Brownsboro 3 The Guard came in strong with immediate points on the board from a field goal and touchdown in the first quarter while the Bears struggled to generate offense. Moving into the second quarter Brook Hill made moves with a back to back interception and touch down by Wide receiver Brex Boddy and Quarterback Zachary Ryle. Brownsboro was no match for the Guard’s quick offense. Brownsboro was able to kick a field goal to put three points on the board but it was not enough to make it through the Guard. Brook Hill will face San Augustine for their first away game of the season on Sep.4. Brownsboro will return to Bear Stadium next week as they meet Palestine on Sep.4.
