Robert Horry is among those excited for the Los Angeles Lakers this upcoming season, as the seven-time NBA champion believes that his former team could make noise in the Western Conference with the moves they’ve made.During an interview with Lakers Nation, Horry admitted he was reluctant to support Walker Kessler at first because of the rivalry between their colleges. He also made a shoutout to Quentin Grimes, whom he thinks is a serviceable 3-and-D guy for the Los Angeles Lakers.Dec 8, 2024; Sacramento, California, USA; Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler (24) before the game against the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center. Walker Kessler is a guy they’ve been coveting for a while, and you think about all the pieces that they added.”“Quentin Grimes is a guy who is a nasty guy. There’s a saying we like to say where it’s you gotta bring some nasty to the game, and that’s one of the things that he will do. It’s gonna be really interesting how the system is now without LeBron. You saw glimpses of it when he was out at the beginning of the season, but now you got Luka healthy, you got AR healthy. It’s gonna be very interesting to see how this goes,” he added.Dec 7, 2025; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic (77) drives against Philadelphia 76ers guard Quentin Grimes (5) during the second quarter at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
