​BLUFFTON, S.C. (WSAV) — May River football earned its first win of the season with a 56-38 victory over Mountain View Prep Thursday.It was win number one for first-year head coach Steven Nimmer and the first home game under his leadership.The Sharks were down 10-0 in the first quarter and battled back to earn the win and move to 1-1 on the season.In Savannah, Beach High School also earned its first win after dominating Groves 40-0. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 28-0 lead at the half and cruised to the 40-point victory.Beach’s next matchup will be Friday, Sep. 11 against Long County at 7:30 p.m.Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
