(Photo by David Jensen/Getty Images) | Getty Images With football season starting for Duke on Saturday, we thought it would be a great time to look back at last season’s thrilling overtime ACC Championship win over Virginia. As you may remember, Duke had a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter, only to see Virginia rally and tie the game with 22 seconds left in regulation. Duke scored in overtime on a pass from QB Darian Mensah to Jeremiah Hasley. Virginia got the ball back and when they tried a trick double-pass, linebacker Luke Mergott read the play correctly, and intercepted the pass. All things considered, it was a great win for the Blue Devils, who won their first outright ACC championship since 1962. It got compounded when Duke beat Virginia in the ACC Men’s Tournament final. It would have been amazing if Duke had played Virginia for the women’s championship as well, but that didn’t happen.
