​About 10,000 Wisconsin Badgers fans are expected to turn downtown Green Bay into a sea of red and white on Sept. 5 for the Badger Bash North party.Meanwhile, Notre Dame Fight Irish fans will be congregating in the Titletown district for pregame activities.The celebrations are being held ahead of tomorrow’s game − UW and Notre Dame play at 6:30 p .m. Sept. 6 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay in the Shamrock Series.Badger Bash North events on SaturdayThe full 350-member University of Wisconsin Marching Band and UW Spirit Squad will be on hand for the parade on the west side of the Fox River.The Badger Bash will be held at Leicht Memorial Park, 128 Dousman St., and Donald Driver Way, in the Titletown Brewing parking lot area of the Rail Yard.People are encouraged to park on the east side of the river in the Main Street parking ramp at 330 Main St. The Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.Activities begin at 1 p.m. in Leicht Memorial Park with a service project followed by a kids football combine at 2 p.m.The Badger parade is from 3:30-4 p.m. and begins at Mather Street and Broadway and travels south to Dousman Street and turns toward the river on goes on Dousman to Donald Driver Way. The forecast is for early fog turning to sunny with a high near 77, according to the National Weather Service Green Bay.Badgers, Fighting Irish play Sunday at Lambeau FieldBoth teams kick off their season on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.Ahead of the game, Titletown Gameday Live will be held starting at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 6 in the Titletown district.Both school’s marching bands will perform at halftime of the game. Since it’s a Notre Dame home game, its marching band will play during pregame festivities on the field.After the game, both bands will play their Alma Mater from the fans.
