​The College Football Playoff and iFlag made a big announcement last week for flag football. The Nebraska flag football team will compete in the first-ever CFP Flag Football Showcase at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.The inaugural CFP Flag Football Showcase will be an activation taking place inside CFP Fan Central. The event also takes place in partnership with iFlag, the world’s premier flag football events and experiences company. The showcase will give athletes the opportunity to compete ahead of the CFP National Championship.College varsity and club teams will also participate in the showcase. Nebraska will compete in the varsity division alongside Manhattan University, Eastern Michigan and Cal Poly. USC, Cal, Oklahoma, UCLA, Arizona and Arizona State will all play in the club division. On top of this, iFlag is adding a third division open to club and varsity programs from all collegiate governing bodies. The newly added division will be capped at 32 teams, based on the order of registration.The showcase includes a free CFP Fan Central, which will include games, clinics, pep rallies, special guest appearances, autograph signings and exhibits.
