Odds courtesy FanDuel SportsbookNo. 1 Ohio State at No. 4 TexasSpread: Texas -1.5Over/under: 49.5 pointsThis game is a toss-up, and the slim spread indicates that it could be a close one. Both teams are quite even on paper, and Texas is the slight favorite because they are the home team. While home-field advantage matters, so does recent history. Ohio State is 3-2 against Texas, winning the last two — 14-7 last season and 28-14 in the Cotton Bowl CFP semifinal in January of 2025.This will be a great quarterback matchup featuring two Heisman contenders in Ohio State’s Julian Sayin and Texas’ Arch Manning. Both Sayin and Manning were stellar in their season openers — Sayin was  21-of-25 for 320 yards and three touchdowns. Manning was 20-of-27 for 305 yards with four touchdowns and one interception. Sayin and Manning will have talented wideouts to throw to. Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith had eight receptions in the opener for 151 yards and two touchdowns; Devin McCuin was also impressive for OSU with six grabs for 97 yards and a touchdown. Texas receiver Ryan Wingo had seven receptions last week for 121 yards, and Cam Coleman had three receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns. The rushing attacks for both teams are also good. Ohio State duo Bo Jackson and Ja’Kobi Jackson both had 83 rushing yards and a score, while Texas back Hollywood Smothers had 70 yards last week and a touchdown. As good as the offenses are, both teams are expected to have stout defenses this year. Texas allowed just seven points to Texas State last week, and Ohio State allowed three to Ball State. Factoring in the score last year between Ohio State and Texas was 14-7, the game going over 49.5 points could be a reach, even with talented playmakers on offense for both squads.Even though Texas is favored, recent trends should matter more than where the game is being played. While there is no safe choice here, I’m leaning toward Ohio State pulling out a close one in Austin.Prediction: Ohio State +1.5, under 49.5 pointsNo. 11 Oklahoma at MichiganSpread: Oklahoma -4.5Over/under: 43.5 points Michigan’s coming off an embarrassing 13-12 victory over Western Michigan, where they were bailed out via a Hail Mary after an extra second was put back on the clock. Michigan fell out of the AP Top 25 despite winning, and ticket prices have plummeted for the Oklahoma game since last week. In short, Michigan fans aren’t
