There appears to be an answer to the biggest question Arizona Cardinals fans (and fantasy owners) have. Will rookie running back Jeremiyah Love play in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers?According to ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss, Love is expected to play on Sunday. It will be his first action since injuring his ankle in the second quarter of the Cardinals’ preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He was a limited participant in both Wednesday’s and Thursday’s practices, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him listed as questionable on the final injury report of the week. However, he should have a role in the offense. The question that fantasy owners will have is how much he will be used and whether he will have a limited role in his first game back. He is second on the depth chart behind Tyler Allgeier, but even head coach Mike LaFleur said we shouldn’t read too much into that. If Love’s number is called, he will be ready. “If they want to put me out there, I’m going to go out and play, whether my ankle feels 100 percent, 50 percent, 70 percent,” Love said, via the official team site. “I just want to play football.”I’ll fight my hardest to be out there every game this season.”The Cardinals and Chargers kick off from SoFi Stadium on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET (1:25 p.m. Arizona time).
