​For the second year in a row, Alcorn State football and Arkansas-Pine Bluff face off in the Southern Heritage Classic.The 37th annual Southern Heritage Classic kicks off on Sept. 12 (6 p.m., HBCU Go) at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.The game concludes a a staple weekend long events in Memphis, including the battle of the bands showdown at Whitehaven High School and the Classic Parade along Park Avenue for high school marching bands.In 2025, UAPB (1-1) outlasted Alcorn State (1-1) by a score of 24-20. Both teams finished 4-4 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference in 2025.
