The close game could have gone either way, but was decided by some fine margins.Nearly a third of the game’s points came in the fourth quarter as Washington tried to make a comeback. The resulting 15-yard penalty in the fourth quarter stopped the Commanders from trying a two-point conversion which could have tied the game.The team’s quarterback is their leader, and they have a responsibility to keep everyone locked in to the game and the situation. Diggs shouldn’t need that, though, as a 32-year-old experienced professional.But that’s the point Daniels made to the media afterwards while still managing to call out Diggs.“We’ve just gotta be smarter,” Daniels said. “You know, we gotta know situations. Situational football. That’s on me for reiterating that in the huddle.“So we just gotta be smarter.
