​Early last week, Jacksonville Jaguars’ head coach Liam Coen called offensive tackle Cole Van Lanen a game-time decision for Sunday’s Week 1 matchup with Cleveland.Van Lanen was on the physically unable to perform list for a large portion of training camp, rehabbing from last season’s late knee injury. He has since been ramping back up.Following a week of practices, Van Lanen did not have an injury designation going into the game. Not only was Van Lanen available, but he started and played very well.Taking over at right tackle, Van Lanen played 36 of the 57 offensive snaps, and according to PFF, he did not allow a single quarterback pressure over 20 pass-blocking reps. On three carries that went directly to Van Lanen’s left or right, the Jaguars’ backs totaled 21 rushing yards as well.Along with Van Lanen, the Jaguars’ offensive line unit as a whole performed well.
