​Joe Burrow leaving the Cincinnati Bengals was a topic recently floated by former NFL pro Russell Wilson. Now Wilson’s doubling down.Appearing on CBS again, Wilson said that, while he doesn’t want to see Burrow leave the Bengals and even hailed his own Cincinnati roots, he thinks the star quarterback will do whatever it takes to win in the NFL. “It’s just what I feel,” Wilson said. “Joe’s a rockstar, he’s a baller, he’s a guy who wants to win. This guy went to LSU. He’s not afraid to transfer. He went Ohio State to LSU and one of the best decisions in his life is when he left. .@DangeRussWilson addresses his comments about “if this season doesn’t go well for the Bengals that Joe Burrow could be gone.” pic.twitter.com/9nQH7fx542— NFL on CBS 🏈 (@NFLonCBS) September 15, 2026Wilson admits by the end of the clip, though, that Burrow already has two of the top wideouts in the NFL and will throw around 45 touchdowns this year, again bringing up the fact that the Bengals passer merely needs to stay healthy. Of course, the “transfer” conversation around Burrow omits serious context, as Burrow wanted to get on the field and play in college. When healthy with the Bengals, he’s done plenty of winning. Burrow made a statement before Week 1 about not leaving the Bengals.
