After agreeing to a verbal deal with the Dallas Mavericks in free agency, the big man returned to the Los Angeles Clippers instead.Chris Broussard’s iconic post suggesting then-owner Mark Cuban was ‘driving around begging for DeAndre’s house address’ led to a huge uproar that eventually ended up with the journalist apologising.When he recalled the events from that day though, Cuban revealed that he did go to Jordan’s house at the time but received no response. It was in Houston, though, and not Dallas.“So, I go down to Houston, where DeAndre’s staying and we’re supposed to just line it all up,” Cuban said. “He’s told us yes, said yes and we’re waiting in this hotel room. His money guy, Steve… (He) was saying it was going to happen.“We kept on waiting for DJ to show up, never did. Called him, never did. Got his address, drove by, never answered, and that was it. You know the story from there, sadly.”This is one of the stories which goes down as certified NBA lore.
