​The UConn women’s basketball program — winner of 12 national championships — has set and released its full schedule for the upcoming season.Coach Geno Auriemma’s Huskies will open their season at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, Connecticut, on Nov. 2 against Cornell. After a trip to Michigan on Nov. 5, UConn will play its first game of the season in their usual home, Gampel Pavillion in Storrs, against Iowa on Nov. 8.The marquee non-conference slate for the Huskies doesn’t stop there. They’ll play road games at Ohio State and Louisville, then face South Carolina at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, on Nov. 24 as part of the Hall of Fame Showcase. UConn will also battle Duke at TD Garden in Boston on Nov. 28, host UNLV in Storrs on Dec. 2, then take on Maryland at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Dec. 5.Rounding out the non-conference schedule for the Huskies is a trip to Notre Dame on Dec. 9, a home game in Hartford against Tennessee on Dec. 12, and a neutral site clash with LSU in Nashville, Tennessee, on Dec. 20. UConn will open conference play in the Big East amid its tough non-conference slate, hosting Seton Hall in Hartford on Nov. 20.The Huskies will also have a homecourt advantage of sorts in the Big East Tournament, which will be held at Mohegan Sun Arena, March 5-8 this season. Since returning to the Big East ahead of the 2020-21 season, UConn has won six consecutive conference tournament titles.For UConn, the game against South Carolina will be the first meeting between the Huskies and Gamecocks since the 2026 Final Four where Auriemma got upset near the end of the loss that ended the Huskies’ perfect season, yelling at Dawn Staley before leaving the court.Meanwhile, the Notre Dame game marks the 58th meeting between the two sides. The Huskies beat the Fighting Irish twice last season, once in the regular season and then in the Elite Eight.UConn hasn’t played against LSU since 2016 and this matchup in Nashville will be the first meeting between Auriemma and Kim Mulkey since the 2021 NCAA Tournament, which wound up being Mulkey’s final game with Baylor.
