​Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo isn’t putting much stock into the Indianapolis Colts’ rough season opener.Prior to Sunday night’s matchup, Spagnuolo called attention to quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Jonathan Taylor as two players capable of stressing his defense despite Indianapolis’ 41-23 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.Jones completed 19 of 31 passes for 166 yards with one touchdown and one interception, while Taylor totaled 121 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.“We can’t be deceived by this quarterback, thinking he’s a statue,” Spagnuolo said of Jones, per KMBC News. “He’s a really good athlete, too. And they have option football in their game; their coaches do a really good job of it.”Jones’ mobility also adds a cunning element for a Colts offense that features Taylor.“When Daniel Jones and Taylor are playing together, Taylor plays really well because you have the threat of the quarterback throwing it, so they’re dual threat in that regard,” Spagnuolo said. “I’m not deceived by the fact that they didn’t have a great game last week.”Spagnuolo also harped on the importance of preventing Taylor from reaching the edge or finding a crease downhill.
