Clemson will have to wait until closer to kickoff to determine whether Christopher Vizzina can suit up against North Carolina. The latest ACC availability report lists the sophomore quarterback as a game-time decision, leaving the Tigers with uncertainty behind freshman starter Tait Reynolds.Vizzina’s status has changed throughout the week. He was initially listed as probable before being downgraded to questionable on Friday. Now, his availability will not be determined until Saturday. The former starting quarterback has been dealing with an injury to his non-throwing arm since experiencing numbness during Clemson’s matchup with Georgia Southern, according to head coach Dabo Swinney.Vizzina has appeared in two games this season, completing 14 of 23 passes for 102 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.Should he be unable to play, former walk-on Trent Pearman would likely become Reynolds’ primary backup. Pearman entered the season with six career appearances, including action in last year’s 38-10 victory over North Carolina.Clemson vs UNC live updates: Score, highlights, predictions, analysis📸 Coley Cleary- SMG https://t.co/aWSwqieaoNpic.twitter.com/ylwQFBPO5S— Clemson Wire (@Clemson_Wire) September 19, 2026The Tigers will also be keeping an eye on the opposing sideline, where UNC defensive lineman Melkhart Abou Jaoude remains questionable.Clemson’s quarterback depth will be one of the final questions to be answered before the Tigers begin ACC play at home.
