‘FIRE MIKE NORVELL,’ ‘Tear It All Down’ — Calls Mount for Florida State to Cut Ties With HC After Alabama Loss Drops Seminoles to 1-2Florida State Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell has remained at the center of hot-seat discussions for the last two seasons. Unfortunately for Norvell, this season has not started on a positive note either. A 50-36 loss to the No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday night dropped the Seminoles to 1-2.After Florida State suffered consecutive defeats against ranked opponents, Norvell said the team continued to grow but had not produced good enough results. However, patience among Florida State is wearing thin, with many supporters quickly losing faith in the head coach and demanding that the Seminoles cut ties.Florida State Fans Lose Patience With Mike NorvellIn 2023, Norvell guided Florida State to a 13-1 record and an ACC championship, giving the program only its third 13-win season. However, the program declined sharply afterward, finishing 2-10 in 2024 before going 5-7 last year.Florida State parted ways with athletic director Michael Alford on Sept. 14, although the decision immediately sparked speculation about what could happen next with the head coach.Following the latest loss, that speculation intensified as fans turned their frustration toward Norvell and began openly calling for his firing.“Mike should be fired before the after-church crowd makes it to their local Golden Corral. If he isn’t, do not let him fire Tony White. He picked White and signs off on his game plans every week. Make Mike go to battle every week with this garbage staff he assembled and wear it,” one fan commented.“Daniels ain’t it, man. Neither is Mike Norvell. We need a hard reset. Tear it all down,” a comment read.“Hope you Mike Norvell apologists are enjoying this.
