Brighton’s Pascal Groß retires from international duty with GermanyAfter scoring in Brighton & Hove Albion’s 3-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday, Pascal Groß announced that he has decided to retire from international football with Germany.The 35-year-old was part of Germany’s World Cup squad in the summer, but wasn’t included in Jürgen Klopp’s squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.“Officially – since I don’t have social media – I haven’t announced my retirement, but I have already retired,” Groß told Sky.“For me, it was over after the World Cup. I think it’s time to wish the new generation nothing but the best and to keep my fingers crossed for them.”Groß made 19 appearances for Germany in total and played 17 minutes at the World Cup, featuring in his country’s 2-1 group-stage defeat to Ecuador.
