Fall is officially here even if high school fall sports have been underway for more than a month. There were just seven high school football games last week, highlighted by Pensacola edging Escambia to win the Battle for Ye Olde Wash Boiler for the first time since 2012. Jay and Northview also picked up wins to remain undefeated.Boys golf saw the first big 18-hole event, as Pace hosted the Byron Nathan Classic on Sept. 14. Pensacola Catholic won the event by 12 strokes over the host team. However, Tate beat both teams in a nine-hole event with Gulf Breeze and Milton two days later.Pensacola Christian boys cross country continued its excellent start to the 2026 season by winning the Daphne Invitational, beating Gulf Breeze by 73 points.
