​For the second straight week, the NFC West went 3-1. The difference was that a different team lost. Two teams are undefeated, and two are 1-1. These are the standings in the division after two weeks. Seattle Seahawks. 2-0 (1-0 division)San Francisco 49ers, 2-0 (1-0 division)LA Rams, 1-1 (0-1 division)Arizona Cardinals, 1-1 (0-1 division)The Seahawks and the 49ers have not faced each other yet, and they both have won a division game. Seattle’s strength of victory gives them the edge for the division lead right now, as they have beaten two teams that have won a game each. The 49ers have beaten two teams who have one win between them. The Cardinals are in last place because their strength of victories is zero, as the Chargers are winless. What happened in Week 2?The Seahawks had another dominant defensive performance, holding the Cardinals to 151 total yards of offense in a 31-7 win in Arizona. Drew Lock, starting in place of Sam Darnold at quarterback, threw three touchdown passes, all to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who had nine receptions for 155 yards and three scores. The 49ers blew out the Miami Dolphins 35-13. QB Brock Purdy threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another. San Francisco’s defense has allowed 20 total points in two games. The Rams bounced back from their loss to the Niners with a 28-6 Monday night win over the New York Giants. Matthew Stafford passed for 327 yards and four touchdowns. Receiver Davante Adams had eight catches for 195 yards and two scores, and Kyren Williams and Blake Corum combined for 164 rushing yards. They held the Giants to 181 yards. The Cardinals lost 31-7 to the Seahawks and had their worst offensive performance since 2023. Jacoby Brissett had only 95 passing yards on 28 attempts and was picked off. He did have a touchdown pass to Trey McBride, who had eight catches but only 41 yards. Week 3 in the NFC WestThe Cardinals and 49ers will play each other in Santa Clara on Sunday. The Seahawks will be on the road against the Washington Commanders, facing backup QB Marcus Mariota. The Rams will play Sunday night on the road against the Denver Broncos.
