But, the good news is that there’s a free agent waiting in the wings with lots of NFL experience.Jimmy Garoppolo could be an option for the GiantsWith Dart possibly out the entire season, Adam Wells of Bleacher Report has put together a feature about some quarterbacks the Giants could sign in free agency or trade for.His top pick makes sense: Jimmy Garoppolo. The last time Garoppolo got some serious playing time was in 2024, stepping in for the Rams, and he played pretty well, tossing for 334 yards and two touchdowns with a 97.0 passer rating.”Of the current free-agent options, Jimmy Garoppolo is the most accomplished with a 43-21 career record in 64 starts,” Wells notes.Garoppolo is best known for his time with the San Francisco 49ers, and Wells notes that offensive coordinator Matt Nagy “utilizes a variation of the west-coast offense that relies on pre-snap motion, RPOs and screen passes.”So, he’s not Dart, and he may have to shake off some dust, since he didn’t get playing time last season.
